Title Family [Edit]
A title family is a group of titleholders from the same year, with corresponding titles usually awarded at the same contest weekend. Common members of a title family include, but are not limited to, Mr., Ms., Bootblack, Sir, boy, girl, Master, and slave.
Examples of Title Families
- International title family: International Mr. Leather, International Ms. Leather, International Mr. Bootblack, International Ms. Bootblack (note these titles are not all awarded at the same contest).
- American Brotherhood Weekend title family: American Leatherman, American Leatherwomen, American Leatherboy
- ILSb/ICBB title family: International LeatherSIR, International Leatherboy, International Community Bootblack
Across years
Individuals holding the same title across different years may refer to their relationships in a parental fashion. For example, Mr. DC Eagle 2014 is the “title son” of Mr. DC Eagle 2013, who is the “title dad”. This can lead to a scenario in which a much younger titleholder is the “title dad” to their successor who may be decades older.
