Gloria Brame [Edit]

Gloria Brame (born 1955) is an American sexologist, writerand sex therapist based in Athens, Georgia. Her sex therapy practice specializes in BDSM, sexual fetishism, and sexual dysfunction.

Education

She earned her PhD degree in Human Sexuality from the Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality in 2000, after earning a M.A. in English literature from Columbia University in 1978.

Involvement with BDSM/Leather

In 1993 her book Different Loving: An Exploration of the World of Sexual Dominance and Submission was published, followed in 2000 by her book Come Hither: A Commonsense Guide To Kinky Sex, and in 2015 by the Different Loving sequel Different Loving Too: Real People, Real Lives, Real BDSM

She received the National Leather Association-International‘s Cynthia Slater Nonfiction Article Award for 2010 for the article “Transformation and Transcendence in BDSM”.

She hosted the Gloria Brame Show, which was a podcast on BlogTalkRadio and Spreaker, with a focus on sexual freedoms and BDSM and LGBTQ rights.

She currently runs the Ask Me Anything site, a professional BDSM/Fetish blog on Reddit.com.

She is a member of the Board of Governors of the Leather Hall of Fame.
