Federal Association for Sadomasochism, known as Bundesvereinigung Sadomasochismus or BVSM in German [Edit]

The Federal Association for Sadomasochism, known as Bundesvereinigung Sadomasochismus or BVSM in German, is an association of various groups and persons of the German BDSM subculture. In the long term, it believes that similarly emancipated living conditions should be created for BDSMers in Germany and in the entire Central European area, as they already exist in part for gay people today.

History

The Federal Association for Sadomasochism was founded on May 31, 2003 in Cologne, Germany, by about 40 BDSM group representatives and individuals.

Since the beginning of 2005 the Federal Association for Sadomasochism has been a member of the German Society for Social-Scientific Sexuality Research and officially registered as a lobbying organization at the Bundestag, which is the German federal parliament.

In 2012 Matthias T. J. Grimme, stage name Tatsu Otoko (竜男 Dragon Man), became the spokesperson of the Federal Association for Sadomasochism.
